DataForGAIO · Web data with a chain of evidence
Web data with a chain of evidence.
DataForGAIO delivers web data for AI training and generative search with a receipt on every page: where it came from, what was checked, which permission signals were present and exactly what it cost, from $0.00012 per page.

- per basic crawled page
- $0.00012
- per standard SERP of 10 results
- $0.00050
- minimum top-up

The problem
Most web data arrives with no idea of where it came from.
Datasets built from the web rarely carry their own provenance, so an audit turns into an investigation and a permission question has no answer.
Unverifiable provenance
A row in a dataset rarely says which URL it came from, when it was fetched, or whether the page has changed since.
Unclear permissions
Robots directives and AI-use declarations are checked once, if at all, and almost never stored with the data itself.
Opaque cost
Credit bundles, minimum top-ups and per-task pricing hide what a single page actually costs you.
Why we care
Evidence attached to the data, not lost beside it.
Teams building AI training sets and generative search are increasingly asked to show where their data came from and whether they were allowed to use it. When the answer lives in old logs and chat threads, that question is expensive.
We built DataForGAIO so every fetched page carries its own receipt: provenance, permission signals and exact cost in one inspectable record, which makes an audit a lookup.
How we solved it
Six stages, all of them recorded.
Every job resolves, fetches, normalizes, checks permissions, writes a receipt and delivers content plus receipt together, in JSON your pipeline can store and audit.
01
Provenance on every page
URL, timestamp, fetch method, HTTP status and a content hash you can re-verify, recorded at the moment of the fetch.
02
Permission signals captured
What robots.txt and machine-readable AI-use declarations said for the agent and path, stored alongside the data itself.
03
Exact cost per unit
The billable units and the precise charge for that page appear in the same record, and failed or blocked fetches are never billed.
How it works
Three steps, no setup.
01
Send a URL or a batch
One live request, a batch of up to 100 targets, or a scheduled job delivered to your webhook.
02
We fetch, normalize and check
The page is retrieved with a declared user agent, boilerplate is dropped, the result is hashed, and robots.txt and AI-use signals are read.
03
Get content plus a receipt
Extracted markdown and a JSON receipt with provenance, checks, signals and cost come back together.
Privacy
Permissions checked and recorded, not assumed.
Every fetch reads robots.txt and machine-readable AI-use signals for the agent and path at the moment of the request, and stores what they said in the receipt. We publish only claims we can evidence.
How we handle data →- robots.txt and AI-use declarations read at fetch time and kept with the data
- Content hashed so any page can be re-verified against its receipt
- Failed and blocked fetches are never billed
Who it is for
Built for teams that cannot afford to guess.
AI training and data teams
Build datasets where every row traces back to a URL, a timestamp and a permission signal.
Generative search and RAG
Pull pages and search results with the provenance your retrieval layer needs to cite sources.
Compliance and legal
Answer where-did-this-come-from and were-we-allowed questions straight from the record.
DataForGAIO questions
What is a crawl receipt?
A JSON record returned with every fetched page: the source URL, fetch time and method, HTTP status, a content hash, the robots.txt and AI-use signals present, the billable units and the exact cost.
What do I pay for?
Only successful units, at published rates from $0.00012 per basic crawled page and $0.00050 per standard SERP of 10 results. There is no minimum top-up, and failed or blocked fetches are never billed.
Is the data suitable for AI training?
It is built for AI training and generative search. Because each page carries its provenance and permission signals, your team can review suitability and keep an auditable trail rather than trusting an unlabeled dump.
Need more than the product?
We build it into your workflow.
DataForGAIO is one example of what we engineer. If you need it connected to your systems, or running inside your own infrastructure, our team designs, builds and operates it for you.
