The problem
A convincing fake now takes minutes to make.
Image editors and generative AI have made document forgery cheap, fast and hard to see. Reviewers are still asked to catch it by eye, one document at a time.
Edits the eye cannot see
A salary raised, a balance changed, a name retyped. The page looks clean; only the numbers and pixels underneath give it away.
Documents that were never real
AI tools now produce whole payslips and statements with the right employer and plausible figures. There is no original to compare against.
Review that does not scale
A careful manual check takes around 15 minutes. As volumes grow, teams sample instead of checking everything, and fraud slips through.
Why we care
Every accepted document is a decision.
A forged payslip approves a loan that should not exist. A fake certificate places the wrong person in a trusted role. A doctored invoice pays someone who did no work. The cost lands later, on the business that trusted the paper.
We built TamperCheck because the people making these calls deserve better than a gut feeling, and better than a vendor score they cannot explain to an auditor.
How we solved it
Forensics first, then a second look at every finding.
TamperCheck examines a document the way a forensic examiner would, across many independent signals at once. A separate quality-control pass then re-checks each finding before it reaches you, so a flag comes with evidence your team can defend.

Does the maths add up?
Totals, deductions and running balances are reconciled line by line. A payslip that contradicts itself is caught even when it looks perfect.

Were the pixels touched?
Error-level analysis, compression traces and font metrics reveal where text was pasted, retyped or painted over after the document was issued.

Does it match the issuer?
Templates, layouts, metadata and digital-signature certificates are checked against what a genuine document from that issuer looks like.

Was it made by AI?
Generated documents leave statistical fingerprints and lack the physical traces of a real scan. Every upload is checked for synthetic origin.
