Local data rules

What governs personal data in United States.

Personal data in the United States is governed by sector laws such as HIPAA for health data and the GLBA for financial data, plus state laws such as California's CCPA, overseen by agencies including the HHS Office for Civil Rights and the FTC. There is no single federal privacy law, so which rules apply depends on the sector and the state your customers are in.

This is general information, not legal advice. Confirm your obligations with your own counsel.

How we build for it

Your data stays under your control.

01

Your infrastructure, or on-premise

Systems run in your own cloud account or on your own servers, in the region you choose.

02

No training on your data

Your documents and system data are never used to train or fine-tune any model.

03

Free to leave

No lock-in contract. If you stop, you get a documented handover and a full export of your data.

After launch

We stay and keep it compliant.

Data protection rules change, and AI systems drift. One fixed monthly fee covers monitoring, support, model updates and compliance upkeep, so your system keeps meeting the rules long after launch.
